Booking a Celebrant - What's the Process?

I will get in touch with you to arrange a date for us to meet up in person to start planning your ceremony and to sign your essential marriage paperwork called the Notice Of Intended Marriage (NOIM).

​Before our meeting, I’ll send you a form to help me prepare all the paperwork and get some key details for your ceremony. I’ll also need each of you to bring some personal documents to prove your identity and date and place of birth. You can either show me either:

• Your passport, or

• Your birth certificate and your driver’s licence

Don’t panic if you don’t have these documents. There are other acceptable documents, but these are just the most common. I can talk you through other options if needed.

If you’ve been married before or you’ve changed your name, I may also need to see additional documents, but I will advise you of this before the meeting.

We'll meet, sign the NOIM, then comes the exiting part. We will start to plan your ceremony and work out how to fully customise each part to make your vision a reality!

Before the meeting you will have been sent a bunch of resources to give you ideas of what you would like to include plus some questionnaires for each of you, so we can start formulating your couples story. Based on your questionnaires and our initial chats, I will write up a personalised ceremony script uniquely for you.
